Eleven cruise ships diverted to San Diego because of swine flu

Like the headline said, eleven  cruise ships will be coming to San Diego after canceling visits to 22 Mexican ports of call, the Port of San Diego just announced in a press release. The cruise lines are rearranging eight itineraries to avoid Mexico because of the swine flu.

Two of the ships  will be arriving tomorrow, the Sapphire Princess and the Serenade of the Sea. the Sapphire Princess is arriving from Ensenada, Mexico, and and the Serenade of the Sea from Acapulco, Mexico. Together they’re delivering 4,000 tourists to San Diego.
