Top five words from our members of Congress

October 27, 2009 - 5:24 pm

The Sunlight Foundation maintains a brilliant service called Capitol Words, in which it indexes everything said by House members in the Congressional Record. You can search for a specific word to see who uttered it and how often…or you can look at your member of Congress to see what they’re spewing.

Here are the top five words for each of San Diego’s members of Congress over the last year. They’re really telling.

(Note:  “San” and “Diego” are calculated as two different words by the site. We’re combining them here.)

Um, yes it is. Duncan D. Hunter is the current Congressman. You must be thinking about his father, who preceded him in that seat.

In that case, you are correct, it is not a picture of Duncan Hunter Sr.

C-man Darrell “the Is” Issa can’t believe Duncan D. Hunter said “37” a billion times.
Duncan D. Hunter threatened to make “the Is” look weak on Afganistan if he wouldn’t tell him the story about the marine in the office again.

It’s amazing how so few people can tell so many lies. If the people above are speaking, they are lying.
