San Diego YouTube :: Christ, Christ, Christ, chiropractors, ukulele girl, flying pit bull and pawn shop

January 21, 2010 - 4:31 pm

Each week, I plug “San Diego” into YouTube to see what video inanity the local talent is producing. This week, San Diego’s Christian vloggers were biblically prolific, so I’ve split this into two distinct countdowns: Godly vs. Secular.

#3 CYT San Diego’s Lean on Me dance

At first, I was like, is this a Fat Boy Slim video? Nope, these Christian Youth Theater dancers are just happy because they’ve got Jesus in their shoes.

#2 “It’s Time” propaganda from Midway Baptist Church San Diego

Somewhere between Leni Riefenstahl and Monday Night RAW, the gospel has never been so hostile.

#1 “The Preview” Christian City Church San Diego

Hey Church! How about you don’t rip off the Postal Service for you advertisements? Starring “Cynthia,” this is Christianity for the MTV generation: bros, chicks, muscles, Matrix effects and “Hey Church!” spoken over and over and over again.

Now, for the nothing-to-do-with-Jesus videos.

#4 DRX9000 How It Works At the South Coast Spine Center of San Diego!

Chiropractors scare the shit out of me. This video doesn’t help.

#3 “Ode to the Weather” by Snow White of SD

OK, so this isn’t bad at all–girls on ukuleles rarely are.

#2 “The Pit Bull That Wish It Had Wings”

Pit Bulls, you have to love them because they’re as sturdy as they are stupid. This one bails at San Diego’s dog beach.

#1 Gems N Loans Jobs In North County San Diego: Sales Jobs Openings

Well, at least the pawn industry is faring well. So well that they needed to make this 4-minute job listing to recruit more employees.

“It’s time to pound the Gates!”

    Both Melissa AND Bill?

Okay, I’m still peeved about Vista too. What a crap operating system.

But do they really deserve the fires of hell? Isn’t that a bit harsh? And as far as “pounding” them…well, I think they’ve got pretty good security. Might be difficult.

But if it’s in the Good Book, well we have our marching orders, don’t we?
