Frye supporters mobilize on Facebook

February 14, 2010 - 10:01 am

Donna Frye has less than a month to decide if she’s going to run for a seat on the county Board of Supervisors. As if Lori Saldana deciding last week not to run wasn’t enough pressure, now there’s a Facebook group.

Created last night (Feb. 13) at 7:16 p.m., by Stephen Whitburn, a candidate for City Council in 2008 and member of the state Democratic Central Committee, right now there are 115 members (there were 106 when I started typing this). Full disclosure: I joined.

The filing deadline for candidates is March 12. We checked with Donna last week and she said she still hadn’t made a decision. She’d be challenging incumbent Republican Ron Roberts whose district includes most of the city of San Diego.
