Event spotlight: Handmade Revolution Fall Trunkshow

September 15, 2010 - 12:58 pm

The Handmade Revolution (a collective of local designers and artists) has regularly impressed us with their ability to create really crafty, beautiful things out of materials that are usually regarded as trash. One of the designers, Sophia Carolina Hall, was nice enough to send us some preview images of what will be at their Fall Trunkshow event, happening 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 18, Make Good (2207 Fern St. in South Park).

Tilted Tulip & The Novel Novel by Erika Kirkland turn old library books into blank journals.

Emily Grace and the Yellow Suitcase crafted this necklace out of recycled grocery-store bags.

Clutches by Freckles by Rebecca Chase, made out of vintage fabrics and buttons.

A necklace by Colleen Townend made from vintage materials.

Sophia Carolina’s tote bags made from used coffee-bean bags and lined
with vintage cashmere sweaters.

A recycled flower pin by Fire and Flowers by Brooke Evans.
